Sky #2

We share the sky
In 2001, Chika started working with Sky images after the September 11 attacks. She made a series of poetry books called “We share the same sky”.  In 2009, she made a book installation with 100 sky images printed with red cabbage pigment, to visualize our connection, and solidarity.  In 2015, she made a series of Galaxy prints printed with cabbage and beet pigment.  Sky, one step further zoomed out will be the galaxy.  By printing these images, she suggests expanding our imagination and feeling more connection than differentiation.
